We're looking for a Product Manager to join us and lead this important area. You will create a vision, building systems and features, and ideating creative solutions to improve our Gaming mission at Discord.

What you'll do

• Reporting to our GPM of Gaming and working with partners from different parts of the business

• Guide the product philosophy, vision, and roadmap for Discord’s gaming strategy

• Lead a team of engineers and designers to build social features and experiences that help people game, talk, and have fun hanging out with friends

• Partner with User Research, Data Science, and Product Marketing to understand new gaming markets and genres, and create the next evolution of Discord’s gaming strategy

• Work cross-functionally with Partnerships to build a powerful integration layer between Discord and games

• Define and own performance against important metrics and report progress against those goals to the relevant partners.

You’ll Succeed In This Role If…

• You’re excited by large scope and comfortable proposing your own strategy. You will be our first Gaming IC PM.

• You have experience helping Gamers. You’ve worked on Gaming/Gaming-adjacent products, or use Gaming products.

• You love shipping, learning, and iterating. You’re comfortable with 80/20 thinking; you like moving fast.

• You’re willing to wear different hats. Discord is a startup and our most successful Product Managers are chameleons.

Bonus Points

• 4 or more years product management experience or experience building social consumer products, with experience in shipping products from design to deployment.

• Familiarity with a variety of gaming markets and genres (mobile, international, console, PC)

• Experience building synchronous social products (audio, video, streaming)

• Active Discord user

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $190,000 to $233,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related experience. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
