Manage the financial health of PlayBrain by informing and strategizing with the CEO about financial matters. The role includes oversight of project budgets, investment into new projects and broader financial strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as AP/AR, expense reimbursement and other transactions.

• Prepare monthly and annual reports while liaising with external services for tax filing, auditing, banking and other financial needs as necessary to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.

• Check costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.

• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.

• Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.

• Daily working with Spreadsheets and financial documents etc.

Must have skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• Native level of Japanese and intermediate level of English

• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles

• A solid understanding of Japanese statutory legislation and regulations

• Strong interpersonal, communication skills

• Analytical skills

• Multi-tasking abilities

Good to have skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience of Finance and Accounting in international organizations preferred.

• Nissho Bookkeeping Level 2 or equivalent

• Familiarity with USGAAP, IFRS is a plus

• System implementation experience is a plus

• Business level of English
