About the Role
As a Senior Game Engineer, you will be responsible for building the next-gen 3D game engine for Highrise and Highrise Studio. You will build the platform, tools, and game engine to empower users to build rich games, craft custom experiences, and shape entire virtual worlds.
We are looking for an experienced software developer who is highly technical, loves innovation, and dreams of building the virtual universe of the future. You should be able to work independently and be self-motivated because we won't be there to hold your hand. And since this is a remote position, you'll need to be comfortable managing your time and staying incredibly focused.
If you're a game engineer who is not afraid to get your hands dirty, and you want to work for a company that greatly values both hard work and passion, apply now! We can't wait to meet you.
Here are the skills and qualities we're looking for in our ideal candidate:
You have exceptional C# design and programming skills with at least 10 years of software programming experience.
You must also have at least 6 years of experience in game development, ideally on game engines.
You have experience architecting, designing, and implementing a wide array of software products.
You have worked on AAA games or polished published games and apps at scale.
You have built any side projects or games outside of work or made significant open-source contributions.
You have experience with the Unity game engine.
You have experience programming in Lua.
Experience developing mobile apps for both iOS and Android is a plus.
