The Mission

Your job is to make Highrise win in MENA.

This is not about “launching a regional campaign” or “translating the app.” This is about building a sustainable, dominant, culture-embedded presence in the region. Highrise should feel like it was built in MENA, for MENA — because it will be, under your leadership.

This is a GM role in the truest sense: you will own the market, the metrics, the team, and the outcomes. You will operate like a founder, with the full backing of Pocket Worlds.

Core Responsibilities

Own the business.

  • Deliver aggressive growth in user acquisition, retention, and revenue across key MENA countries.

  • Build the localized strategy — from go-to-market to product-market fit — and evolve it based on data and community signals.

Build the team.

  • Hire and lead a small, entrepreneurial cross-functional team in-region: marketing, community, content, creators, partnerships.

  • Operate with high leverage. Quality over quantity. Owners over operators.

Ship product-market fit.

  • Localize where it matters: not just language, but norms, culture, social dynamics, and monetization.

  • Identify gaps in content, features, or UX and partner with core product teams to ship improvements fast.

Win the community.

  • Obsess over our users. Spend time in Highrise, in Discord, on the ground with creators.

  • Work hand-in-hand with players, influencers, and partners to build trust and create viral growth loops.

  • Be a recognizable face of Highrise in the region.

Own the P&L.

  • Drive toward positive unit economics. Test paid and organic strategies.

  • Understand LTV, CAC, burn, and make decisions that build a real business.

You Need To Be

  • A builder with a track record of shipping things that worked in emerging markets.

  • A GM mindset — you've either run your own company or operated like an owner in someone else’s.

  • Deeply familiar with MENA Gen Z culture: languages, humor, fashion, social platforms, online behavior, norms.

  • Fluent in Arabic and English. French or Farsi is a plus.

  • Biased to action. You don’t wait for permission. You make things happen.
