The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic VP of Marketing to lead our Go-to-Market strategy. You will be responsible for crafting and executing marketing strategies that drive growth, engage our community, and strengthen our brand. This role requires a deep understanding of the tech, music, and AI industries, with a strong emphasis on managing relationships with music artists and labels.
Responsibilities:
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies that align with Splash’s business goals and drive product adoption.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies.
- Brand Management: Build and maintain a strong brand presence across all channels, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning.
- Artist & Label Relations: Develop and nurture relationships with music artists, labels, and other industry stakeholders to create collaboration opportunities and enhance product offerings.
- Campaign Management: Plan, launch, and manage marketing campaigns across various platforms to drive user acquisition and engagement.
- Partnerships & Alliances: Identify and establish strategic partnerships to expand Splash's reach and influence in the music and tech ecosystems.
- Performance Metrics: Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives and optimise for continuous improvement.
- Content Strategy: Oversee content creation, including blogs, social media, and other digital assets, to effectively communicate Splash’s value proposition.
- Growth: Lead recruitment of talent in Australia and the US, managing teams as we grow while being conscious of varying budgets during growth phases and funding rounds.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in a senior marketing role within the music industry.
- Previous experience in a startup or high-growth company with an emphasis on new technology or AI.
- Extensive knowledge of rapid prototyping and go-to-market for consumer products in music, entertainment or gaming industries having launched multiple products to market.
- Demonstrated success planning, delivering and measuring creative go-to-market campaigns tailored to young audiences.
- Demonstrated success managing relationships with music artists and labels.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data to make informed marketing decisions.
- Ability to be hands-on where required - we are a small team and assistance with digital and paid marketing will incredibly beneficial as we build the team.
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
- Experience in digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
- Can take feedback well, and understands that changes in product direction will happen regularly - we practise direct feedback, failing fast and adapting our product quickly.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel to Australia as needed.
