About StockGro

Founded in January 2020 by former venture capitalist Ajay Lakhotia, we’re well-funded and just closed a massive Pre-Series A fundraise. We are backed by some of the respected investors - Roots Ventures, Velo Partners, Creed Capital, and the likes of Kunal Shah, Vivekananda Hallekere, Rahul Garg as Angels.

We have some brilliant minds with us, working on a mission to make 400 million Indian millennials investment-ready, with Senior Executives from Sequoia, Swiggy, Glance, Airtel, Uber, and institutions like ISB, NITs, and IIMs.

We are looking at onboarding a Data analyst who can make sense of the business data flowing in form Product and Marketing and visulaise it better so that the teams can take actinable feedback using that data.

Synthesis of the expectatons :

We have interviewed enough analysts to know where most of them stop. They can pull data, clean it, and build a decent chart. Where it falls apart is the last aspect - turning numbers into a point of view. Into something a PM or marketer can walk away from with a clear next step.

If you're someone who fetches the data and makes sense of it - who can sit in a funnel and tell you not just where users dropped but what it probably means and what to test next - this role is for you.

What you'll do

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, clean, and aggregate data from our

databases

  • Analyze user funnels and behavioral data to identify drop-offs, trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Metabase for Product and Marketing stakeholders.
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights - visual storytelling that drives decisions, not just describes numbers.
  • Work with PMs to define success metrics for new features and evaluate performance post-launch
  • Support Marketing with campaign analytics, channel performance, and attribution analysis
  • Automate recurring reports in Metabase to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
  • Proactively flag anomalies and surface opportunities - before stakeholders have to ask

What we're looking for

  • 3–6 years of experience in a data analyst role with a wealth tech ecosystem
  • Strong SQL - you write it fluently, not reluctantly.
  • Hands-on experience with Metabase or a comparable BI tool.
  • Comfort working with messy, real-world data and knowing how to clean and structure it.
  • Ability to frame an analysis - not just answer the question asked, but ask whether it's the right question.
  • Clear communication; you can walk a non-technical PM through your findings without losing them
