Unreal Software Developer - Contract Role
Trioscope is seeking a Unreal Engine Tools Engineer to work on integration of Trioscope’s Stylized Entertainment Engine tools into Unreal Engine.
Trioscope is a venture-backed company with a proprietary, patented platform for the creation of “hybrid” entertainment that seamlessly integrates live action performances into graphically stylized worlds. We’re looking for a multidisciplinary individual who wants to invent technology that revolutionizes how Hollywood tells stories of epic scope and scale.
Job Description
The Unreal Tools Engineer will work on integrating Trioscope's platform product, our proprietary suite of VFX tools centered on the seamless stylized fusion of live-action and CGI into the Unreal Engine for the purpose of creating stylized content.
Strong working knowledge of Unreal Engine’s low-level interfaces including rendering and animation subsystems is a must. We need to integrate custom format readers, writers and data exchange mechanics with Unreal Engine.

What Will You Do?
- Build and integrate suitable software solutions
- Guide the development of plug-ins in Unreal Engine
- Participate in code reviews
- Maintain internal standards for engineering and related processes
Where do you come from?
- Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine’s plugin, animation and rendering subsystems
- Proficient in modern C++
- Experience with processing image data, graphics programming
- Passion for driving simple, clean and efficient code
- Work agile in an agile cross-functional product team, experience with Jira
- Fluent English written and spoken
- Excellent communication skills and team player
Preferred but not Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience as Software Engineer building in Unreal Engine
- Knowledge and understanding of modern animation styles from photoreal to stylized (Pixar features, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, etc.) to hybrids (Sin City, 300, Scanner Darkly, etc.)
- Prior development experience in the Entertainment/VFX industry a plus
- Familiarity with Nuke, After Effects, Maya, Houdini or other DCC applications
Location
Engineering team is located across Eastern Europe. The company has offices in Los Angeles and Atlanta. This role can be performed 100% remotely.
